Is there a way to run both a GCrypt and TCrypt, and have them joined together in the UnionFS mount?

Both run under the same GSuite, User and Encryption Keys.

If it's possible - what becomes the default write method for future changes? The Gcrypt or the TCrypt?

Thanks

Dave

yes, this is the current configuration. gdrive, gcrypt, tdrive, tcrypt are all unioned together and presented as /mnt/unionfs.

Ok thanks. And what determines where the files are written?

Say I have 2 TV Shows, one is in GCrypt, one is in TCrypt.

/gcrypt/show1/series/720p-episode.ext

and

/tcrypt/show2/series/720p-episode.ext

And say I upgrade the episode in Show1 from 720p to 1080p.

Does the 720p Gcrypt file get replaced by the 1080p file? And does the 1080P file get written into the Gcrypt or the TCrypt?

Ok thanks - if Sonarr directs the 720p file to be deleted, and replaced with the 1080p file- does that mean the 720p file will be removed from the gcrypt and the 1080p file will appear in the tcrypt?

Or will I still have both files - 720p in the gcrypt, 1080p in the tcrypt

Apologies for the questions - just trying to understand how it all works. Quite complex - very impressive.

It will delete the older copy. This normally happens when someone is using pgmove with encryption for a while, then decides to use pgblitz instead for encryption. If never using pgmove, gcrpyt doesn't come into play.

Awesome, that's fantastic.

I have an existing Gcrypt that I've used for a couple of years but the 750GB daily limit was a pain sometimes.

From what you're saying, I can load and use my existing gcrypt, but any changes will be written into the tcrypt using the increased daily upload limit.

I'll need to change the Google folder reference in rclone though, it's currently called "crypt" in my Gdrive.

Can I just change the rclone config to refer to the Google Drive folder "crypt" instead of "encrypt"?

Excellent - yes it currently is /crypt at the root of my G Suite.

So if I delete /encrypt and rename /crypt to /encrypt

Update: I changed the mount point of the gcrypt to gdrive:/crypt (the folder on my Gdrive is "crypt"), but nothing is appearing in the /mnt/gcrypt folder...

Using the same encryption keys. Gcrypt.service is running ok

Nevermind - pasted my old keys directly into the config- that did the trick.
