Discussion OAuth on community apps?

I am struggling to figure out why OAuth does not seem to work properly on community containers.
The following section is present in app yml, identical to what is in core apps

YAML:
    # LABELS ######################################################################
    - name: 'Adding Traefik'
      set_fact:
        pg_labels:
          traefik.enable: 'true'
          traefik.port: '{{intport}}'
          traefik.frontend.auth.forward.address: '{{gauth}}'
          traefik.frontend.rule: 'Host:{{pgrole}}.{{domain.stdout}},{{tldset}}'
Yet in all containers for community apps, the traefik.frontend.auth.forward.address label is empty.
If I edit the container and fill in http://oauth:4181 then it works just fine. Is there something that needs to be done for these to work out of the box? They also don't appear in the exemption list once activated.

As so many things cause containers to be rebuilt, manually editing the label does not seem like a viable solution. What would be the proper way to go about this?

TIA
