I cant keep up, being new a month or so ago and learning and by time i have done so its moved as fast as light,
im on | Version: 7.5.13 | got stuck here as i managed to get it to work and did not want to risk not having it working again!.

Maybe have a team of beta testers for bug fixes/changes/testing new features
Then post on forum letting the people know whats being worked on and schedule a final stable release, saves people whom are trying to follow whats going on/changes can keep up.

I admire your work and dedication on this project and i do really like it.

Thanks

Having to maintain multiple versions isn't sustainable. If you are happy on that version, then stay on that version. No one is forcing you to upgrade to version 8 if you didn't want to. The point of labeling the release as a BETA is to BETA test the features before it is released OUT of BETA. PlexGuide helps you deploy something that already exists in multiple areas, if you are happy with where are at now, then you don't need to move forward. If the new features interest you, as with any piece of software, you will have to upgrade. Back porting new features for previous versions is a massive waste of time as the point of the newer versions was to fix or stabilize problems found outside of the beta testing through unique scenarios most users will NEVER see.

ya pg8's new installer also you to upgrade and downgrade; unlike 7 and below. :D
Ouf I had started my 7.x setup cause I was under the impression that starting from 7.x something it would be compatible going forwards.

Throws Plexguide 7.x setup in the trash

lol. No one forces us to upgrade but goddamn it I want the newest stuff!!!!

Seriously though can we expect another major rewrite for 9.0 and 10.0 or do you feel comfortable with the current architecture to use it as the foundation for future versions @Admin9705 ?

Hi PGAdmin,
Reinstalled everything from scratch to test this new install.

Here are some comments about this latest version:
- I still get an error, during the first attempt, when I restore the keys. Error disappear when I retry
- In the case of a PGBlitz install, why still using Gdrive to store all the information in /plexguide. Why simply not using tdrive to store everything ?
- Portainer is not preinstalled is this normal? To be able to go to step [2] of the main menu, portainer needs to be installed. This means I first need to run menu [4] to install it. Would it not be normal to preinstall portainer which is required to manage all the containers.
- I think pg Port Guard is a good option but it should be possible to specify additional ports to be opened. E.G. Time server, alternate ssh port, smtp ...

Great work !

not a big deal since it is in the community section of apps but ubooquity is missing the 2203 port for admin in the container config to setup the app. Also it's stock docker config has a reverse proxy addendum of ubooquity so you also need to add ubooquity after port to access the app.

i.e.
http://yourip:2202/ubooquity

and for admin work around is to stop the container then add the port 2203 then deploy and you can access it
@
http://yourip:2203/ubooquity/admin

once you get into the admin section you can remove the reverse proxy setup with ubooquity and everything for access goes back to normal.
i.e.
http://yourip:2202
and
http://yourip:2203/admin

if anybody wants to add/fix they can. purpose of the community. i'm very unfamiliar with it :D working another piece.
