PG Version
8.0.24
Server Type
Remote - Dedicated Server
Just upgraded from 7.7.7 to 8.0.24 and changed the paths in my apps (sonarr, radarr, sabnzbd) as per changelog. New files download and instead of being put into /mnt/move to upload to gdrive are put into the correct folder under /mnt/unionfs and never uploaded. I've created some test files in /mnt/move and they're uploaded immediately.

It seems as though the temporary folders that used to exist under /mnt/move (mirroring the folders under the unionfs) are no longer there. I've blown away my rclone settings under OAuth & Mounts (option 3) and recreated everything.

How do I go about getting my files to start uploading again?

After reboot, the same issue exists. The file is put into the proper directory under /mnt/unionfs and never /mnt/move so it can be uploaded to gdrive.

I don't know if this makes any difference, Plex scanning is horrendously slow as well. Checking the logs on Portainer shows countless lines of
Code:
sqlite3: Sleeping for 200ms to retry busy DB.

Blowing everything away and starting over. I'm hoping that the paths and such won't be changing in the future! This is such a PITA

In trying to clean up the remnants of PG before reinstalling, it seems that a move folder was created on my processing disk. Is /mnt/move no longer the temporary path for uploading to gdrive? Did it get moved to the processing disk? If so, that's great! I didn't see that documented anywhere.

Ok, just downloaded several files on a new install and instead of using /mnt/move, there's been a folder named move in my processing folder on a separate drive. I see the files were created in that move folder in the correct paths so they do show up in Plex and are playable, however, they are never uploaded to gdrive.

I'm fine with the move folder being on the processing drive, in fact I'd prefer it so my root drive doesn't fill up. I do, however, want these file uploaded as they were doing previously on 7.7.7. How can I make that happen? I've removed all remnants of 7.7.7, did a fresh install of PG 8.1.0, and rebooted the server several times.

EDIT: Upon checking the syslog, I see the following messages:
Code:
Jan 12 00:58:49 host01 systemd[1]: Started Plex Autoscan.
Jan 12 00:58:49 host01 systemd[26780]: pgscan.service: Changing to the requested working directory failed: No such file or directory
Jan 12 00:58:49 host01 systemd[26780]: pgscan.service: Failed at step CHDIR spawning /opt/appdata/pgscan/scan.py: No such file or directory
Jan 12 00:58:49 host01 systemd[1]: pgscan.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=200/CHDIR
Jan 12 00:58:49 host01 systemd[1]: pgscan.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Jan 12 00:58:59 host01 systemd[1]: pgscan.service: Service RestartSec=10s expired, scheduling restart.
Jan 12 00:58:59 host01 systemd[1]: pgscan.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 199.
Jan 12 00:58:59 host01 systemd[1]: Stopped Plex Autoscan.
Thanks!

I tried configuring that via the menu and it still doesn't deploy.

My files are sitting on my secondary drive under a move folder, I need to get them uploading to gdrive.

Further, I didn't have pgscan enabled on 7.7.7. It doesn't make any sense why the files wouldn't upload.

That's less than helpful.

I understand, but i was just reading your log. Actually several people tried to run it. PG Blitz is fixed on v8. If the problem is deep, just join us on the discord :D

I'm not worried about pgscan, unless it has something to do with getting these files to upload. I was grasping at straws and found that in the logs.

I'll have to hop on discord later today to see if we can't figure out why these files don't get moved. ??‍♂

Credit where it's due, thank you to MrDoob on Discord for helping me solve!

Since /mnt/move is where PG expects files to be in order to upload, and mine were being placed in a move folder on a secondary drive, I set up a bind mount to mount that secondary move folder to /mnt/move. The command is as follows:

Code:
sudo mount --bind /secondary/move /mnt/move
Then, to make permanent, switch to su by typing su, enter password. Type crontab -e and paste the above command with @reboot in front of it.. no need for sudo. Voila!

type df -h /mnt/move and marvel at the space available on the secondary drive!
